Greene County NC is conducting a community survey on broadband needs. The Reflector in Greenville wrote an article about Greene County’s plans here.
Excerpt:
“Greene County is circulating a survey as part of its broadband initiative to determine internet/broadband access of all residents.
“The primary goal is to identify underserved areas and work to attract internet service providers who will offer expanded service and higher speed options at a reasonable price,” said Rick Davis, the county’s economic developer, who is heading up the local plan.
Davis discussed the survey at a recent meeting of the Greene County Economic Development Commissioners and the Greene County Board of Commissioners.”
As a Tier 1 designated county, Greene County NC is eligible for the North Carolina GREAT program for broadband grants to help with the cost of deployment. (For information on the NC GREAT program, click here.)
